Writing the book is one thing, but making it work is another.

I know how easy it is to get stuck in your own story, miss things, or wonder if something isn’t landing the way it should.

That’s where I come in.

I studied Professional Writing (Creative Arts) at TAFE and have been working with writers for over 15 years. My focus is on strengthening what’s already there, and not rewriting it into something that doesn’t feel like you.

Developmental Editing (Big Picture)

My approach is detailed and thorough. I don’t just point out what isn’t working, I explain it and give you clear, practical suggestions on how to fix it.

This can include things such as:

  • Plot holes or inconsistencies
  • Descriptions or details that are missing or irrelevant
  • Pacing issues (too slow, too rushed, or dragging in the wrong places)
  • Character development and whether their actions actually make sense
  • Structure and flow of the story overall
  • Scenes that aren’t pulling their weight (and what to do with them)
  • Emotional impact—whether key moments are landing the way they should

You won’t be left with vague comments. You’ll have direction on what to adjust, what to cut, what to expand, and how to move forward.

At the end of it, the goal is simple: to help you bring your story together in a way that feels cohesive, engaging, and true to your original vision.

Content / Line Editing (Refinement)

If your story is there but the writing needs tightening, this is where I come in.

I’ll go through your manuscript line by line to improve clarity, flow, and readability—while keeping your voice intact. Think of it as refining what you’ve already built, not changing it into something else.

A Quick Note

I don’t offer proofreading as my focus is on deeper editing that improves your story, and not surface-level issues.

Pricing is POA and will vary based on your manuscript and what’s required.

Turnaround times will vary, subject to the length and the scope of editing required. I don’t rush my projects, as every manuscript is given the time and care it deserves.

I work across a range of genres, particularly romance, crime, mystery, and women’s fiction. However, I don’t take on horror, graphic erotica, or manuscripts that include explicit or inappropriate content involving minors or grotesque violence.

Availability

My availability is limited, and I only work with a few authors each year to ensure each project gets the focus it deserves.

Manuscripts, documents, and personal details will not be shared, distributed, or used for any purpose outside of the agreed work.

All work submitted remains your intellectual property. I do not claim ownership over your content, ideas, or materials at any stage.

If excerpts or examples of work are ever requested for portfolio or promotional purposes, this will only be done with your prior written consent.
