Novel Update: The Final Review Is Done—What’s Next?

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve completed the final review of my novel! It now stands at over 75,000 words and 286 pages—a milestone I’ve been working towards for quite some time. My editor has already proofread the manuscript, and now it’s my turn to go through her notes and finalise everything before moving on to the next exciting phase.

The story is a contemporary fiction that explores grief, healing, and the courage to start over after a tragedy. If you like heartfelt, coming-of-age stories about finding hope in new beginnings, this might be right up your alley!

My plan is to take the traditional publishing route, starting with the exhilarating (and slightly nerve-wracking) process of submitting my manuscript to literary agents. If I’m unable to secure representation, I’ll pivot to self-publishing, aiming for a release date between October and December this year. Either way, I’m determined to get this story out into the world.

One challenge remains: finding the perfect title! It’s funny how one of the smallest details can feel like the biggest hurdle. But I’m confident the right title will come to me, and when it does, you’ll be the first to know.

Stay tuned for more updates as I continue this journey—there’s so much more to come!
